Hello everyone! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. The theme for this week is colors in book titles, and honestly, I was surprised by how little books I’ve read with colors! I found for the most part a lot of metals (which technically double as colors) such as gold, brass, and silver. But as for actual colors of the rainbow: not so many!

What books have you read with colors in the title? Have your read any of these? Let me know in the comments!

Twice in a Blue Moon sounds so interesting.

This is a really cute idea! I loved Devouring Grey, Scarlet, and Red Queen. A couple of these are on my TBR currently.

Great list! The covers for these books are gorgeous and so many I still haven’t read! I remember I really wanted to read Crimson Bound when it first came out but had completely forgotten about so thanks for reminding of it:) My TTT: https://moonlitbooks.home.blog/2020/08/04/tttcolours/

This topic has shown me that colors show up more in sci fi/fantasy books than in any other genre. I don’t really read sff, so no wonder I had trouble with today’s topic! I didn’t think of using metallic colors either. Oops.
Happy TTT!

This post was so interesting because it made me realize that a lot of the books I associate with colors, I associate because of the covers, and not the titles! And I was curious to see how many books with colors in the title I had read this year, so I checked on Goodreads, and only 2 out of the 53 books I read this year mentioned a color in the title! (In case you were curious those books were The Black Flamingo and The Duke and the Lady in Red.)

That’s super interesting because now that you mentioned it, I do the same thing! I can probably think of a handful of books of any color off the top of my head, but books with TITLES of colors….not so much!
