Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Today the theme is which authors we’ve read the most books by. I debated how I wanted to do this post. If an author has a lot of series, then obviously the number of books I’ve read by them is higher. So I had to decide between counting each and every book, or counting each series as “one” book.
1. JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT
I knew before even creating this list that she would probably be at the top. I’ve been reading JLA books for a very long time, and I am thoroughly entertained with each one. I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed by any of her books. One of the things I love about her is her versatility! She writes in so many different genres and excels in each!

Favorite Book: Tempting the Best Man & Lux Series
2. CASSANDRA CLARE
Every time Cassandra Clare announces a new series in The Shadowhunters chronicles, I swear I’ve grown out of them, but then I read the synopsis and I’m immediately pulled back in. Let’s be honest, I’ll be reading each series in this world until she stops writing them.
Total: 13
Favorite Book: Chain of Gold
3. TESSA DARE
This is my go-to author for historical romance books. I’ve read every single book written by her with the exception of The Wanton Dairymaid trilogy. Her books are always so witty and steamy and I love reading them! I think her books are some of the only that I have actually laughed out loud while reading.

Favorite Book: Do You Want to Start a Scandal?
4. LISA KLEYPAS
I should have figured before I started this list that half the authors would be my go-to historical romance writers. Lisa Kleypas is another author whose books I’ve read a lot of simply because they’re so entertaining and there are so many to choose from!
Total: 12
Favorite Book: It Happened One Autumn
5. JULIA QUINN
Julia Quinn is the reason I got into reading historical romances. I had heard all kinds of great things about The Bridgerton series so I decided to give them a shot. You have no idea how excited I am that these books are being adopted into a Netflix series!
Total: 12
Favorite Book: The Viscount Who Loved Me
6. SARAH MACLEAN
Another go-to author for historical romance. The fact that she made me not only forgive, but fall head-over-heels in a love with a “villain” from one of her previous books was nothing short of miraculous, especially given his wrongdoings. It just shows how immensely talented a writer she is.
Total: 12
Favorite Book: The Rogue Not Taken & The Day of the Duchess
7. MARISSA MEYER
Marissa Meyer really excels in writing YA Science Fiction/Fantasy. I’m a huge fan of both her series, Renegades and The Lunar Chronicles, and I’ve also enjoyed her standalones. I’m really looking forward to her upcoming novel which seems like a change of pace from her other books!
Total: 8
Favorite Book: Renegades
8. CHRISTINA LAUREN
I was actually surprised this amazing writing duo wasn’t higher up on the list. Although I owe that to the fact that I have a few of their books on my TBR but haven’t gotten around to reading them just yet. I’m sure even by the end of the year they’ll be bumped up a few, especially with the newest book releasing soon.
Total: 7
Favorite Book: Love and Other Words & Beautiful Player
9. LEIGH BARDUGO
I considered Leigh Bardugo one of the queens of YA Fantasy. She is tremendously talented and I will read (almost) anything she writes. The only book I haven’t read is King of Scars which I honestly don’t think I’ll ever get around to. I’ve kind of lost interest in any more Grishaverse books but I’m totally looking forward to the next book in the Ninth House series and whatever else she’ll write!
Total: 7
Favorite Book: Shadow and Bone
10. AMIE KAUFMAN
I was actually surprised to see her name on this list, not because I don’t enjoy her books, but because I hadn’t realized how many books I’ve read that were written or co-written by her! She writes a lot of science fiction/space books which are totally my jam. I can’t wait to read The Other Side of the Sky!
Total: 7
Favorite Book: Unearthed

Clare and Bardugo made my list. Armentrout almost did. I’ll admit I’m behind on her books. I’m dying to read some Tessa Dare, but I have no idea where to start.

Even with all the books I have by Armentrout, I still haven’t read a bunch by her! If you want to try Tessa Dare, I highly recommend either the Castles Ever After or Spindle Cove series! Some of my absolute favorites are from those series! 💕

I keep forgetting that Amie Kaufman writes on her own .. I was introduced to her (and Jay Kristoff) through the Illuminae books. Sounds like I need to jump into her books! 🙂 Great list!
