REVIEW: Tweet Cute – Emma Lord

Author: Emma Lord
Rating: ★★★★

What is this book about? Tweet Cute follows two teenages behind the sarcastic twitter war between a family-owned cafe and a large food cooperation. But when not engaging in social media warfare with one another online, Pepper and Jack slowly develop feelings for each other and learn how much in common they really have.

What did I like? This was such an adorable story! I really enjoyed reading the story from both Pepper and Jack’s points of views and thought it was an excellent choice by the author. And the relationship that unfolds between the two of them was amazing. They transition from unfriendly classmates to friends to a budding romance and I was here for it.

What didn’t I like? As much as I appreciated the subplot with the chatroom app Jack had developed for their school (which for the life of me I cannot remember), I couldn’t help but feel like it was unnecessary. There was enough going on in the story that I didn’t feel like it really contributed anything to the story.

Overall thoughts: Prior to me reading this book I had seen and heard nothing but positive reviews. Tweet Cute is fun, heartwarming book that I definitely recommend for any fans of YA contemporary romance!
